Four South African teachers, one school governing member and cleaner at Sekoko Primary School killed in accident

On Friday night, four teachers, one member of the school governing body, and a cleaner at the Sekoko Primary School were killed in a horrific tragedy in the Free State.
Free State Department of Education spokesperson, Howard Ndaba said on 25 Friday 2022 at about 21:00  a white 22 seater Mercedes Benz Sprinter minibus taxi  overturned on the N5 road about six kilometres from Bethlehem.
Ndaba said five people died at the scene, four females and one male.  The other one died in a hospital today.

“Seven sustained serious injuries and were transported to Dihlabeng regional hospital, Phekolong hospital and Medi-Clinic hospital.
“The passengers were teachers and SGB members of Sekoko Primary school in Paul Roux. They were driving back home from attending a workshop in Tweeling.”

“We wish to convey our sincere condolences to the family and the entire school population. We are with them in our prayers during this difficult period of grief,” Makgoe said .
Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
