South Sudan Oil & Power (SSOP) 2022 (https://bit.ly/3Lt7qXn) will return for its fifth edition from September 13-14 this year at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Juba, and with only four months to go, the countdown to South Sudan’s official energy event has officially begun.

SSOP 2022, organized by Energy Capital & Power (ECP) and in official partnership with the Government of the Republic of South Sudan, the Ministry of Petroleum (www.MOP.gov.ss), the Ministry of Energy and Dams, and the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning, promises new opportunities for global investors across both South Sudanese and regional energy markets.

With the country on a path towards strong economic growth on the back of renewed peace agreements, restored regional relations and resurrected interest in the country’s burgeoning oil, gas and renewable industries, SSOP 2022 positions the country as Africa’s brightest prospect for growth and development.

Against a backdrop of four successful editions, SSOP 2022 has emerged as the primary international forum driving business and investment in east Africa’s only major oil producer.

This year, SSOP will take place under the theme ‘Gateway to East African Energy,’ promoting the country’s strategic position in regional energy chains. As the only east-African producer, the country’s oil reserves – estimated at 3.5 billion barrels – remain of crucial importance for both domestic and regional markets.

Accordingly, ministerial delegations, investors and companies from the entire region will be meeting in Juba for two days of networking and dialogue.

During the two-day conference, emphasis will be placed on the role energy companies play in ensuring the growth of the economy; the interaction of oil companies with communities; future projects and the expansion of the industry; and encouraging local participation and job creation.

With the energy transition representing a key focus area, SSOP 2022 welcomes a larger audience of global and South Sudanese energy (https://bit.ly/3a4kx49) professionals and leaders than ever before.

With only four months left until SSOP 2022, ECP invites all stakeholders from the entire energy value chain to join us in Juba. Contact our sales team at sales@energycapitalpower.com to learn more about how you can promote your organization as a sponsor or exhibitor at SSOP 2022.
