Elise Christie, a former Team GB short track speed skater, has made a surprising career shift since her retirement in 2021.
At 34, Christie is now embracing a new chapter of her life, where she combines her sports background with online content creation, notably on OnlyFans.
From Speed Skating to OnlyFans
Christie, who made three Winter Olympic appearances during her time as a competitive skater, was known for her incredible talent on the ice.
Her journey saw her overcome multiple challenges, from disqualifications to crashes, in her pursuit of Olympic glory.
However, after retiring in 2021, she stepped away from the sport and entered the world of OnlyFans.
She now shares exclusive content with her followers, regularly posting photos of herself in various outfits, often revealing and intimate, including her underwear.
But recently, she’s brought a nostalgic twist to her online persona by incorporating her old Team GB kit into her content.
A Controversial Move
In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), Christie shared a provocative image of herself in her full Olympic gear, complete with skates, with the caption, “Is it tight enough?” The image quickly went viral, sparking mixed reactions.
Many people were divided over her decision to use her Team GB kit in this new context, with some finding it empowering, while others questioned her motives.
Christie’s OnlyFans page, linked from her social media profile, describes her as “your favourite speed demon on ice, and now, your personal glimpse into the world beyond the rink.”
Her page promises “exclusive content that’s spontaneous and exhilarating,” offering fans a more personal side of the former Olympian.
Financial Success and Personal Growth
While Christie is embracing a very different path from her competitive skating days, she’s found a new sense of fulfillment in her life.
In her sporting career, she earned £5,000 for her victories at the 2017 World Championships.
But on OnlyFans, she’s making a steady income, reportedly earning £5,000 each month from her 700 subscribers, who pay £7 a month for access to her exclusive content.
Despite her struggles with alcoholism, homelessness, and self-harm after retiring from skating, Christie has built a new, positive life as a mother and a successful online content creator.
She’s turned her story around, finding happiness and stability in her new career while still staying connected to her roots in speed skating.
A Storied Skating Career
Christie’s skating accomplishments are nothing short of impressive.
She made history in 2017 by becoming the first British woman to win a World Championship title, claiming gold in the 1000m and 1500m events at the World Championships in Rotterdam.
That same year, she became the first European woman to win both of those titles and the overall World Championship.
Additionally, she set a world record in the 500m at the 2016 World Cup event in Salt Lake City.
Her ten European gold medals, including two overall European titles in 2015 and 2016, highlight her dominance in the sport.
Yet, despite her remarkable achievements, Christie’s Olympic journey was marred by disappointment.
She competed in three Winter Olympics (Vancouver 2010, Sochi 2014, and PyeongChang 2018) but was unable to secure an Olympic medal.
Moving On From the Ice
After the setbacks she faced on the Olympic stage, Christie made the difficult decision to retire from short track speed skating in 2021.
Although she expressed feelings of unfulfillment at not having reached the Olympic podium, she embraced her new life outside of competitive sport.
Today, she seems to have found peace in her personal life and career, continuing to build her online presence while sharing her journey with her fans.
