Marvel fans were treated to an unforgettable spectacle at the European premiere of Thunderbolts in London’s iconic Leicester Square.
The evening was full of energy, with the black and yellow carpet rolling out for a star-studded display of Marvel’s most unconventional team yet.
A Star-Studded Yellow Carpet Event
The spotlight shone brightest on Florence Pugh, who dazzled in a sheer gown as she took on the role of Yelena Belova.
Speaking to the crowd, she shared her excitement about being part of a team that’s “so messy, so human,” giving fans a glimpse of what to expect from this ragtag crew of antiheroes.
Pedro Pascal also joined the star-studded event, beaming with enthusiasm.
He expressed his thrill at the global support for the film, saying, “I’m thrilled to see Marvel fans from Joburg to Cape Town get behind this film.”
Julia Louis-Dreyfus, known for playing the scheming Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, was another standout, describing the premiere as “electric” and the energy in the air as “just brilliant.”
David Harbour Joins in the Fan Fun
David Harbour, playing the beloved Red Guardian, also made sure to connect with fans, even posing for a photo with a cosplayer dressed as his character.
“It’s all about the fans,” Harbour said. “They make these moments unforgettable.”
The Thunderbolts team includes a host of familiar faces, such as Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan), Red Guardian (David Harbour), and Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh).
Alongside them, the fierce and skilled antiheroes Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen), Taskmaster (Olga Kurylenko), and John Walker (Wyatt Russell) are ready to take the stage.
The Team’s Mission: Survival and Redemption
The Thunderbolts are tasked with surviving a deadly trap set by Valentina Allegra de Fontaine while confronting the darkest corners of their pasts.
The big question remains: “Will the Thunderbolts tear each other apart, or unite and find redemption?”
Director Jake Schreier and Marvel Stars Light Up the Premiere
Director Jake Schreier joined by other key cast members, including Lewis Pullman, Geraldine Viswanathan, and Wendell Pierce, posed for group photos with the fans.
Simu Liu, best known for his role in Shang-Chi, and Nathalie Emmanuel, famed for her role in Fast and Furious, also added extra excitement to the event.
Marvel’s Busy Year: More Releases on the Horizon
Thunderbolts is just one part of Marvel’s impressive lineup for 2025, following the release of Captain America: Brave New World earlier this year.
Fans won’t have to wait long for more, as Fantastic Four: First Steps is set to hit theaters on 25 July, keeping the superhero action rolling.
Florence Pugh, reflecting on the essence of the film, shared, “This film is about second chances.
It’s wild, it’s funny, and it’s got heart.”
