Family of Missing California Man Thanks Community After His Body is Found in Submerged Vehicle in Bonsall

The search for Isaiah Lowe, a 21-year-old man who went missing in late January, took a heartbreaking turn after his mother’s suggestion to track his car’s GPS led authorities to a submerged vehicle, where his body was discovered.

The Disappearance of Isaiah Lowe

Isaiah Lowe, a 21-year-old from California, was last seen on January 22 driving his black Chevrolet Camaro with red stripes.

Two days later, he was reported missing, leaving his family and friends deeply concerned.

His mother, Natalie Wallace, had a gut feeling something was wrong and decided to take matters into her own hands by checking the car’s GPS tracker.

The GPS Clue and Search Efforts

On Monday, February 24, Wallace informed police that she had tracked her son’s car using a GPS device, which pinged to a location alongside a highway.

Following her lead, law enforcement found a damaged fence near the coordinates and discovered debris that appeared to be from Lowe’s car.

This prompted the Sheriff’s Search and Rescue team to step in and begin a more focused search of the area.

The team zeroed in on a nearby river in Bonsall, located about 50 miles south of San Diego.

Volunteers and officers scoured the San Luis Rey River, where recent rainfall had likely buried the car under water.

As nightfall approached, they suspended their search but returned the next day to continue their efforts.

The Heartbreaking Discovery

On Tuesday, February 25, authorities successfully recovered Lowe’s car from the river.

Tragically, they discovered Lowe’s body inside the Camaro.

At this time, the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office began working to determine the cause of death, though it remains pending.

The circumstances surrounding how Lowe’s vehicle ended up submerged and how long it had been there are still unclear.

Family’s Emotional Plea

Lowe had been last seen at work on the night shift before vanishing, with the only clue being surveillance footage showing him in his car.

His family, particularly his mother, had been desperately searching for him since he went missing.

On February 1, Wallace shared a post on Facebook expressing their worry and asking for help in locating him.

She mentioned that it was out of character for Isaiah to go silent and that they were increasingly concerned for his well-being.

Two weeks into the search, the family posted a video on social media, voicing their frustration with the investigation and pleading with the public for more information.

Devastating News

After learning of her son’s tragic discovery, Lowe’s mother shared the heartbreaking news on social media: “Facebook family, I do not know what to say, but THANK YOU all for searching, praying, and looking for my baby Isaiah Lowe.

He has been found but not the way we wanted to find him. Please keep myself and our family in your prayers.”

Community Support

In the wake of his death, a GoFundMe page was set up to support Lowe’s family.

The campaign’s description reads: “With heavy hearts, we share the devastating loss of Isaiah, who passed away unexpectedly.

He was a bright light in the lives of so many—full of love, laughter, and a spirit that touched everyone who knew him.”

The San Diego County Sheriff’s Office is still urging anyone with more information to come forward.

Authorities continue to investigate the case, and Lowe’s family remains grateful for the outpouring of support from the community during this difficult time.
