“Former US Presidential Bodyguard Safeguards Prince Harry During Invictus Games Opening in Germany”

Chris Sanchez’s Protective Role Former US presidential bodyguard Chris Sanchez once again takes on the role of safeguarding Prince Harry during his visit to Germany for the opening of the Invictus Games. Sanchez, who previously served in the Secret Service, arrived in Germany with Prince Harry on a British Airways flight from London. He accompanied the royal as they left the airport and swiftly drove to their luxury hotel in Dusseldorf.

Sanchez’s Role in Harry and Meghan’s Security Chris Sanchez, a Texas native, has been the principal bodyguard for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle since they stepped back from their royal roles. He is associated with Touchstone Global, his Houston-based private security firm that specializes in providing close protection for business leaders and VIPs. Inspired by the Secret Service, Sanchez pursued a career in security and protection, working with Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama during his 14-year career.

Sanchez’s Introduction to the Public Eye Sanchez was first publicly seen with Prince Harry and Meghan during their attendance at the Invictus Games in The Hague, Netherlands, last year. This marked their first overseas trip together following their decision to withdraw from royal duties and relocate to California. During their outings, Sanchez often accompanied Meghan, coordinating security details and ensuring their safety.

Security Incident in New York Sanchez also played a crucial role in handling a security incident during the couple’s visit to New York City in May. They claimed to have been pursued relentlessly by paparazzi photographers, describing it as a “near-catastrophic chase.” Police, however, characterized the situation as “challenging” without any arrests. A US-based photographic agency denied allegations of causing problems for the couple.

Harry’s Official Engagement at the Invictus Games Sanchez will continue to protect Prince Harry during his official engagements at the Invictus Games in Dusseldorf. One such event includes a meeting with the Mayor of Dusseldorf at the Town Hall, where Harry will sign the Golden Book, a reserved honor for VIP visitors. Later in the day, Prince Harry will travel to the Merkur Spiel-Arena to formally open the Games in front of 500 competitors, along with their friends and family. He is scheduled to deliver a seven-minute speech, expressing his admiration for the athletes representing 21 nations.

Highlighting the Ukrainian Team Organizers anticipate a significant reception for the Ukrainian team, with expectations of a goosebumps-inducing moment as they make their entrance. The ceremony will feature a performance by Grammy award-winning rapper Macklemore, along with speeches from German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and the Mayor of Dusseldorf, Dr. Stephan Keller. The Invictus Games are set to draw over 100,000 visitors throughout the week, celebrating the resilience and achievements of wounded and disabled military veterans, as well as active-duty personnel.

Harry’s Engagement with ‘Match of the Day’ Prince Harry will also participate in the German version of ‘Match of the Day,’ where he will engage in conversations with the show’s hosts about the significance of the Invictus Games and the remarkable stories of the participating athletes.
