Welcome back to Teamsheet, where we take a fun and challenging trip down memory lane, testing your knowledge of past Premier League line-ups.
If you think you’ve got a good memory for football, this game is sure to leave you scratching your head as you try to recall those elusive starting XIs from years gone by.
Ahead of this week’s Merseyside derby, we’re casting our minds back to last April, when Everton pulled off a stunning 2-0 victory over Liverpool at Goodison Park.
That match was a major blow to Liverpool’s title hopes, which ultimately saw them finishing third behind Manchester City and Arsenal in Jurgen Klopp’s final season at Anfield.
But the real question is: can you name the starting XI for Everton that day?
How Well Do You Remember Last Year’s Match?
The game is all about having fun, so don’t stress if you don’t get every player right.
Once you’ve had a go, share your score with us and see how well you did! Full instructions on how to play are at the bottom of the article and in the game itself.
Plus, feel free to pick any team you like and test your memory on their starting XIs.
Good luck!
Instructions for Playing Teamsheet
The goal is simple: score as few points as possible!
Here’s how it works:
-
If you guess a player correctly on your first try, you score just 1 point. So, if you guess every player correctly on the first attempt, your score will be 11 points.
-
If you guess a letter in the right spot, it will turn green. If you guess a correct letter but it’s in the wrong spot, it will turn yellow.
-
You get six guesses for each player. If you don’t manage to guess correctly within those six attempts, we’ll reveal the player’s name for a full 11 points.
-
You can also opt to ask for a free letter, but it costs you a point.
So, give it a try and see if you can hit the best possible score of 11, or if you end up with a whopping 121!
