Eva Murati, a well-known Albanian television presenter, has been the face of Champions League coverage in her country since 2017.
Over the years, she’s built a significant fanbase, but her journey hasn’t been without challenges.
At just 29 years old, Murati has responded to harsh critics who have targeted her based on her appearance rather than her professional skills.
From Teenager to TV Host
Murati began her television career at the age of 17, starting as a presenter for an Italian-Albanian TV channel.
By 2017, she had become the face of Albania’s Champions League coverage on Vizion Plus and Tring TV.
Despite her rising popularity, with over a million followers on Instagram, Murati’s success has been overshadowed by online bullying and harsh judgment about her looks.
Fighting Back Against the Critics
In a recent TikTok post, Murati bravely confronted the negativity, addressing the online trolls who criticized her appearance.
She shared her experience of bullying and how she learned to validate herself internally rather than seeking external approval.
“I started working on TV at 17 years old, got bullied by haters online, and had to learn to validate myself,” Murati wrote.
“I stopped seeking external approval and found strength in internal validation.
Now your words mean nothing to me.”
The Double Standards for Women in the Public Eye
In another post, Murati reflected on the harsher judgment women face compared to men, especially when it comes to superficial matters.
She pointed out that while male public figures are often judged for their professional achievements, women are frequently criticized for their appearance, such as their makeup, hair, or clothing choices.
“Unfortunately, unlike male public figures, women are bullied for trivial things like the way they did their makeup, their hair, the outfit they chose, and other things that have nothing to do with their professional work,” Murati explained.
Balancing Careers in Media and Fashion
Murati’s career extends beyond presenting sports. She’s also worked as a model and actress.
She’s been the face of the Italian lingerie brand Yamamay and recently garnered attention with a Valentine’s Day-themed photo shoot.
In addition to her media work, Murati took a break in 2016 to focus on her acting career, appearing in three films and several TV series.
She also hosted Finding Miss Universe Albania, a show dedicated to selecting Albania’s representative for the prestigious pageant.
Champions League, Modeling, and More
Throughout her career, Murati has remained a key figure in Albanian sports broadcasting, especially for Champions League coverage.
Her panel includes former Premier League player Lorik Cana, who played for Sunderland between 2009 and 2010.
From modeling to acting and sports journalism, Eva Murati continues to prove that she’s more than just her appearance—she’s a talented and hardworking professional in the media industry.
