Alhaji Yunusa Muhammad Danyaya, the Emir of Ningi, has threatened to remove village heads in his territory for collaborating with criminals. Danyaya, speaking at an emergency meeting, expressed his concern over reports that some traditional institutions in various local government regions were colluding with criminals. He stated that an investigating committee has been formed to find the perpetrators, and that anyone found conspiring with bandits will be fired.
“We don’t have a history of traditional rulers having relations with criminals in Ningi Emirate,” the Emir remarked, “and I became concerned when we heard the report that some traditional institutions in several local government areas, including Ningi, are colluding with criminals.”
