The name Lancaster Lock carries real meaning for the singer.
It combines his mother’s and his wife’s mother’s maiden names—blending personal history with his present-day life.

But of course, this is Ed Sheeran we’re talking about—so naturally, the pub comes with a few unexpected features.
To keep things extra private, he had a tunnel built leading from his home straight to the pub. Inside? A listening room, a home cinema, and what he jokingly calls his “man catacombs.”
These catacombs are packed with some pretty legendary memorabilia.
Among the treasures are Robin Williams’s Peter Pan costume and Julia Roberts’s Tinker Bell outfit—both from the 1991 film Hook. Sheeran is clearly a movie buff, and it shows.

While the pub can technically fit up to 50 people, Sheeran says his gatherings are anything but wild.
He describes them with a laugh as “ragers”—but they usually involve just five to twelve close friends.
