Dozens of teenagers run for their lives as violent youth gang crashes birthday celebration with machetes at Essex school hall

A peaceful birthday celebration turned into a terrifying ordeal when a group of armed youths stormed a school hall, causing panic and injuries.

Disturbance at Elm Park Primary School

The chaos erupted during a 16th birthday party held at Elm Park Primary School in Havering, Essex.

Around 9 p.m. on Saturday, a group of over 50 youths reportedly armed with knives and machetes gatecrashed the event.

Police were quickly called to the scene, and reports suggest the violent confrontation lasted until about 11 p.m.

Two individuals, aged 16 and 19, were hospitalized with non-life-threatening knife injuries.

Aggression Toward Police

Authorities confirmed that three teenagers were arrested at the scene on suspicion of assaulting emergency workers.

According to police, the group turned aggressive when officers attempted to calm the situation.

Officers who clashed with the group received treatment from London Ambulance Service medics on-site.

Frightening Footage Emerges

Newly surfaced footage reveals chaotic scenes of frightened teenagers sprinting through the streets, desperately trying to escape the violence.

Police officers are seen attempting to control the crowd, with some using police dogs and shouting to disperse the fleeing youths.

Blue lights from emergency vehicles illuminated the quiet residential street as the commotion unfolded.

Eyewitness Accounts

Local residents described the scene as overwhelming.

One witness reported seeing 40 to 50 teenagers scattering through the streets, some allegedly discarding weapons in driveways as they fled.

“It was total chaos,” a resident told the Havering Daily.

“The youths were aggressive toward police, and there were so many that officers had no choice but to push them back.”

Train Attack Aftermath

The violence extended beyond the party itself. One mother claimed her 15-year-old daughter was attacked on a train by the same group of youths after fleeing the school event.

“She told me the fire exit was blocked, and she couldn’t get out easily,” the mother explained.

“When she got on the train, some of the same youths followed her, and more fights broke out.

My daughter was attacked on the train, and they were still causing trouble and inhaling gas balloons. She’s still in the hospital.”

Police Investigation Ongoing

The Metropolitan Police confirmed they responded to reports of a fight on Calbourne Avenue and encountered aggressive behavior from several teenagers.

Three individuals were arrested, questioned, and later released on bail.

Two young men, aged 16 and 19, sustained knife injuries but are expected to recover.

Authorities continue their investigation to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
