At a packed rally in Duluth, Georgia, former President Donald Trump received a rousing welcome as supporters chanted a newly coined slogan, “Daddy’s home.”
The phrase, introduced by conservative commentator Tucker Carlson, compared Trump to a stern father returning to discipline his disobedient children – in this case, the Democrats.
The event, with just two weeks remaining before the election, was filled with passionate rhetoric, political jabs, and fervent support from MAGA loyalists.
Carlson, one of the evening’s star speakers, wasted no time firing up the crowd.
He delivered a colorful, albeit confusing analogy comparing Democratic leadership to unruly teenagers needing discipline.
He painted Trump as the father figure who would set things right if he won the 2024 election, emphasizing the need for stricter control to prevent further political chaos.
Carlson’s remarks earned him a standing ovation from the crowd before Trump took the stage.
Trump Hits Back at Biden’s Remarks
When Trump took the stage, he quickly turned his attention to President Joe Biden’s recent comments.
At an event in New Hampshire, Biden suggested that Trump “should be locked up,” before correcting himself to say it was a political metaphor.
Trump’s supporters and Republican leaders were outraged, viewing the comment as a sign of bias from Biden’s administration and further evidence of what they call politically motivated legal cases against Trump.
Trump, clearly energized by the crowd, criticized Biden’s remarks as “illegal” and an attempt at election interference.
He reiterated his long-standing claim that the various legal actions taken against him are driven by political opponents seeking to undermine his chances in 2024.
Swing States and Star Power
Georgia, a critical swing state, was the focus of Trump’s rally.
With only 13 days left until Election Day, Trump and his team made sure to put on a show.
The former president’s entrance was nothing short of spectacular, complete with a light show, fireworks, and a stirring rendition of “God Bless the USA” playing in the background.
The rally was held at Gas South Arena, just outside Atlanta, and drew a near-capacity crowd.
In an effort to sway voters in key battleground states, Trump’s campaign pulled in big names to bolster his message.
Joining Carlson were figures like Robert F. Kennedy Jr., country star Jason Aldean, and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene.
The high-energy event was co-hosted by Turning Point Action, a conservative organization aimed at mobilizing young voters, further enhancing the MAGA rally’s star power and appeal to Trump’s base.
Early Voting in Full Swing
As Trump campaigned for last-minute votes, early voting had already begun across Georgia.
Voters in the state have been heading to the polls since October 15, with early voting continuing until November 1.
Many attendees at the rally expressed the importance of early voting, highlighting how it allows
