The heartbreaking news was shared by the family through a fan account called Sopranos Aficionado, which posted a heartfelt tribute.

“Sarah Francesca Chianese, daughter of Dominic Chianese, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 15th,” the tribute read. “She battled glioblastoma and was only 58 years old.

Her father stayed by her side until the very end.”

Sarah’s sister, Rebecca, also shared touching words, describing her sibling as “a bright light in this world.”

She continued, “She wanted everyone to live their happiest life and smile when they think of her.”

Dominic Chianese, 94, is a beloved American actor, singer, and musician, most famous for his roles in The Sopranos, The Godfather Part II, and Boardwalk Empire.

The Sopranos, which aired from 1999 to 2007, remains one of the most influential crime dramas in television history.

Chianese’s portrayal of the complex Corrado Soprano earned him a place in the hearts of many fans.

Sarah’s son also took to social media to honor her, calling her “one of the most accomplished women I’ve ever known.”

He praised her for her many talents and achievements, from restoring old barns to working at a law firm in her twenties, and most recently, running a catering company in her fifties.

“She got the job done—always in record time, with unreal competence,” he wrote.

Before The Sopranos, he starred in the Broadway production East Side/West Side, and his role as Johnny Ola in The Godfather Part II marked his Hollywood debut.

He also had a notable guest role on Boardwalk Empire as Leander Whitlock.
