If you’ve been vibing to Doechii’s hit track “Anxiety,” you’re not alone.

The catchy lyrics “Somebody’s watching me; it’s just my anxiety” resonate with many people around the world.

But for the artist and the South African Depression and Anxiety Group (SADAG), this song means far more than just a chart-topper.

It’s become a powerful tool in the fight to raise awareness about anxiety and mental health struggles.

SADAG’s Powerful Collaboration with Doechii

SADAG recently announced its partnership with Doechii, highlighting the launch of a Mental Health Resource Hub that stems from her song “Anxiety.”

This collaboration is an important step in helping those who face the daily battle of anxiety.

The hub, named “Anxiety Is Watching Me,” is designed to offer valuable resources to people both in South Africa and worldwide.

In a heartfelt post on social media, SADAG shared, “We are committed to making mental health a priority for everyone.

Our dedicated Panic and Anxiety page is filled with essential information, practical resources, and effective coping strategies.”

The group is offering a platform for those struggling with anxiety to find support and connect with others facing similar challenges.

Doechii’s Personal Struggles with Anxiety

Doechii has been very open about her personal journey with anxiety.

In a candid interview with The Cut back in February, she shared the deep emotional toll anxiety took on her.

She recalled a time when bullying pushed her to the brink of suicide, saying, “I was getting bullied so bad that I was thinking about killing myself.

I realized, ‘Oh, f**k, I’m gonna kill myself, and then I’m gonna be the only one dead.’”

However, Doechii found a powerful moment of clarity, explaining, “I’m not going for that! And this wash of peace came over me… But it was more like this feeling of, I made a choice, a decision.

I am the most important character in this movie.”

This realization was a turning point for her, and it fuels her determination to help others going through similar struggles.

Anxiety Is Not a Journey You Have to Face Alone

As part of the initiative, the “Anxiety Is Watching Me” resource hub encourages individuals dealing with anxiety to remember that they don’t have to walk the path alone. The website offers a space of connection, healing, and empowerment, emphasizing that people can find comfort knowing others are on the same journey.

The hub is a safe space for fans and individuals around the world to find resources that help manage anxiety, as well as to learn about ways to cope.

“This is also a place where you can find comfort in knowing that there are others on the journey, as well,” the project’s description reads.

“Nobody has to walk the path alone.
