Diepsloot police recover 2 unlicensed firearms, arrest 2 suspects

Members of SAPS Diepsloot arrested three suspects in two separate incidents in Diepsloot over this weekend and recovered two unlicensed firearms with ammunition.

A 23-year-old suspect was arrested on Friday night, 18 March 2022 for possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition following a stop and search.

In another incident, members of SAPS Diepsloot arrested two 34-year-old suspects along Ingonyama Street Diepsloot Ext 2 when they stopped a vehicle with two occupants. A search led the members to recover an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.

The suspects are expected to appear before the Randburg Magistrates’ Court soon.
