Detectives request murder charge in downtown stabbing

Detectives have asked that a 48-year-old man be charged with murder after the man he bludgeoned with a metal rod died as a result of his injuries last week.

An officer at 3rd Avenue and Pike Street on August 2nd, just after 3:00 p.m., saw a guy assaulting another man with a heavy metal stick.
