Detectives Investigating Wallingford Double Homicide

Homicide detectives are investigating after a man and woman were shot and killed in Wallingford early Tuesday morning.

At 12:30 a.m., a 911 caller reported hearing shots fired in the 4700 block of Meridian Avenue North. Officers responded and found two victims — a man and a woman — with gunshot wounds at a parked car. When police arrived, it was apparent life-saving measures would not be possible on the man, but officers attempted emergency first aid on the woman.

Responding Seattle Fire Department medics also attempted life-saving measures on the woman, but she died at the scene. Medics confirmed the man was also deceased.

Members of SPD’s Crime Scene Investigation Unit responded to process the scene for evidence.

Homicide detectives also responded and will continue to investigate.
