Details of animal medicine seizure notice served following a parcel addressed to premises in County Londonderry was stopped at a Belfast depot

A courier company at a Belfast depot identified the following veterinary medicines. The Department of Agriculture, Environment, and Rural Affairs (DAERA) then detained and seized the products.

This parcel was sent from the USA and was addressed to residence premises in County Londonderry.

The parcel contained:

  • 1 x box VitMinPRO Health Enhancer (100 tablets)
  • 1 x Vitamin B – complex + amino acids (100 ml bottle– injectable)

These products are not authorised veterinary medicines in the UK or Northern Ireland and were designed for use in livestock and poultry.

The medications were seized in accordance with Veterinary Medicines Regulations 2013 Regulation 25 (Importation of Unauthorized Veterinary Medicinal Products).
