Deputy President David Mabuza will travel to Potchefstroom in the North West province on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 in his capacity as Chairperson of the Presidential Task Team on Military Veterans to hold strategic talks with the Provincial Government and Military Veterans organisations.

The gathering will give the Presidential Task Force on Military Veterans the essential forum to evaluate the progress made by the federal government in general and the North West provincial administration in particular in resolving the problems encountered by the military veterans.

President Cyril Ramaphosa appointed the Presidential Task Team, which is headed by Deputy President Mabuza and includes the Minister in the Presidency, Mr. Mondli Gungubele, the Minister of Defence and Military Veterans, Ms. Thandi Modise, and the Deputy Minister of Defence and Military Veterans, Mr. Thabang Makwetla, in an effort to find long-lasting solutions to the issues raised by the military veterans.

Senior government officials will back Deputy President Mabuza, including Mr. Thabang Makwetla, Deputy Minister of Defense and Military Veterans.
