Davido completes disbursement of birthday fund to orphanages

Nigerian music star Davido has fullfilled his promise of disbursing his N250M birthday largesse to orphanages across the country.

The “Fem” crooner had shared a post of his account details on social media on his birthday in 2021, which later became a fundraiser, as many other celebrities and well meaning Nigerians flooded the singer with their donations.

In a statement released via his Twitter page on Tuesday, the music star thanked the committee that was set up to disburse the funds.

 
“Since its inauguration, the members of the committee have worked tirelessly to ensure that they collate the names and information of the documented and verified orphanages,“ the statement read.

The singer announced that the entire funds had been disbursed to 292 orphanages across the country.

Davido also shared the list of orphanages that ben fitted from the donation.
