His coaching journey included leading youth teams in Minnesota, notably the U14 team at the Osseo-Maple Grove Hockey Association, which he guided to the Minnesota State Championships. In 2012, he became the head coach for the high school boys hockey team at Owatonna School District, where his legacy extended beyond wins and losses.
