COVID-19 cases surpass 501.8 million worldwide

London, Apr.17 (BNA): The overall number of people who contracted the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) surpassed 501.83 million worldwide.

 

The pandemic claimed the lives of 6,591,486 have died since it first broke out, according to a Reuters tally.

 

The United States reported the world’s highest number of infections and deaths with 80,601,182 and 989,837 respectively followed by India with 43,040,331 and 521,747 respectively.
