Corper Raye Faces Threats from NYSC Officials in Enugu After Criticizing Nigerian Government Under Tinubu for Its Failures

Recently, a disturbing story surfaced that involved a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member, Raye, who allegedly received a threatening phone call after speaking out about the state of Nigeria under President Tinubu.

Raye’s TikTok Outburst

Raye, who’s currently posted in Enugu, took to TikTok under her handle TalktoRaye to express her frustrations.

She shared a heartfelt video where she described the poor conditions in her area.

Raye revealed how the state of the town was unbearable, complaining that it “smelled so bad” and that the Nigerian government, under Tinubu’s leadership, seemed uninterested in addressing such issues.

Raye also opened up about her financial struggles, explaining that she had spent more than N33,000 of her allawee (allowance) just on transportation and food.

She even pointed out the alarming cost of living, mentioning how a crate of eggs now costs a shocking N6,500, which she claims has never happened in Nigeria before.

A Threatening Call from NYSC

Her social media post quickly caught the attention of NYSC officials.

Not long after her video went viral, Raye allegedly received a phone call from a woman working with the NYSC.

The call, which was reportedly threatening, demanded that she take down her TikTok video.

The situation has sparked conversations about free speech, the role of NYSC, and the government’s response to citizens’ concerns.

The incident raises questions about how critical voices are handled, especially when they concern important issues affecting the lives of young Nigerians.
