Constitution Day: President of the Republic of Seychelles Ramkalawan attended the 44th National Schools’ Athletics Championships with the First Lady

Mr. Wavel Ramkalawan, President of the Republic of Seychelles, and Mrs. Linda Ramkalawan, First Lady, attended the 44th National Schools’ Athletics Championships (NSAC) at Stad Linite (Unity Stadium) yesterday as part of celebrations commemorating Constitution Day.

This competition was held after a two-year break caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. In total, 46 schools competed in several categories, including elementary and secondary schools, private schools, and post-secondary institutions.

Grand Anse Praslin primary school received 119 points, La Digue secondary school received 252 points, and Seychelles Business Studies Academy (SBSA) received 166 points for post-secondary.

Mrs. Stella Afif, Minister of Education, Dr. Justin Valentin, Minister of Health, Mrs. Peggy Vidot, Minister of Lands and Housing, Mr. Billy Rangasamy, Minister of Youth, Sports and Family, Mrs. Marie-Céline Zialor, and Mr. Jean Larue, Chief Executive Officer of the National Sports Council, were among the distinguished guests who presented cups at the event.
