Commissioner of Police in Kogi State Receives Freshly Posted ASPs and Urges Them to Demonstrate Professionalism and Dedication to Public Safety

The Kogi State Police Command welcomed a new batch of Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) this week, marking an important moment for the command as it continues to strengthen its ranks.

The official reception was confirmed in a statement by CSP William Aya, the command’s spokesperson, in the early hours of Thursday in Lokoja.

Commissioner Extends Personal Welcome

During the event, Commissioner of Police, CP Naziru Kankarofi, took the opportunity to personally greet the newly posted officers.

He briefed them on what is expected in their new roles and highlighted the critical role they play in supporting the growth and reform of the Nigeria Police Force.

CP Kankarofi reminded the officers that their responsibilities go beyond routine policing.

“I urge you all to approach your duties with utmost seriousness, dedication, and commitment to service, while upholding the core principles of policing, including integrity, discipline, and accountability,” the statement quoted him as saying.

He stressed that the ASPs are seen as a symbol of renewed hope for progress and professionalism within the force.
