Cleric Urges Christians To Use Talents  To Serve God

The Parish Priest, Anglican Church of Resurrection Amawbia, Reverend Christian Nwafor has called on Christians to be sober, vigilant and use their talents positively.

Reverend Nwafor, who is also the Chaplain to the Archbishop, Province of The Niger, Most Reverend Alexander Ibezim, made the call in a sermon to mark a  Sunday Service.

He said every person created by God, has a peculiar talent while it is a sin for any creature to hide or while away that talent bestowed on him for the service of God and humanity.

The Priest in Residence, Saint Edward’s Catholic Church, Amawbia, Reverend Father John-Bosco Nkeanyinmuo listed envy, jealousy and greed as the causes of all the turmoil being witnessed in the present-day society.

Reverend Father Nkeanyinmuo encouraged all to always see the good in others, restored peace in the society and avoid any thing that will marlin the Christian virtues in them.

Also at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Fruitful Hill’s Assembly, Ngozika Housing Estate Awka, Pastor Okey Akpangbo, whose message centered on favour, citied the biblical Peter, who toiled all night without any result but the moment Jesus came, he began to harvest bountifully noting that life requires the grace of God to conquer.

Pastor Akpangbo identified persistent prayer, dedication and humility as essential tools for one to attain God’s favour.

Religion Correspondent Amaka Chibuzor-Okoye reports that prayers to usher in the month of October in peace and for the forth coming election in the state climaxed the Holy Mass and services attended.
