We all know what happened at the Oscars by now – Smith didn’t take too kindly to Rock making a joke about his wife Jada Pinkett Smith’s bald bead, which the comic compared to the female action figure G.I Jane. He walked up to Rock, who was presenting an award on the Oscar stage, then smacked him, to everyone’s shock. Pinkett Smith shaved her head after she was diagnosed with Alopecia, a condition which leads to hair loss.
WILL CHRIS ROCK FINALLY ADDRESS THE WILL SMITH SLAP?
Since that slap, many have been on the edge of their seats, waiting for that special sit down with Will Smith on Jada Pinkett Smith’s Red Table Talk – or even a tell-all exclusive with Oprah Winfrey with Chris Rock himself. While it isn’t clear whether that will happen anytime soon, Rock says he is actually willing to open up about it, but only if he gets paid to do so.
“I’m OK, I have a whole show and I’m not talking about that until I get paid. Life is good. I got my hearing back,” Rock said.
“I don’t have a bunch of s*** about what happened, so if you came to hear that, I had like a whole show I wrote before this weekend. And I’m still kind of processing what happened, so at some point I’ll talk about that s***. And it’ll be serious and it’ll be funny, but right now I’m going to tell some jokes,” Rock told the audience.
