In a surprising turn of events, Chippa United has reversed its decision regarding Azola Ntsabo, who was initially released at the conclusion of the 2023/24 DStv Premiership season.

Ahead of the new season, the Chilli Boys have undergone significant changes, parting ways with a staggering 16 first-team players.

This overhaul comes on the heels of a forgettable campaign where Chippa narrowly avoided relegation, securing a 12th place finish with 34 points from 30 matches.

Departure of Key Figures

Not only did the club bid farewell to players like Luvuyo Memela and Siyabonga Nhlapo, but they also saw their technical director, Morgan Mammila, move on to take a coaching role at Baroka FC in the Motsepe Foundation Championship.

Despite being on the initial list of departures, Azola Ntsabo has been offered a lifeline with a new contract to return for the upcoming 2024/25 season.

Known for his stint as a talented left-back, Ntsabo joined Chippa United from Cape Town All Stars two seasons ago, amassing 34 appearances and contributing two crucial assists during his tenure.
