CHIEF MARY ONYALI MFR, SALUTES NDI ANAMBRA, CONGRATULATES PROF SOLUDO AND DR. ONYEKA IBEZIM

The foremost and one of the greatest African Olympians Chief Mary Onyali has joined the well-meaning Nigerians and Anambrarians in congratulating our governor and the Deputy governor elect on their recent victory in Anambra State gubernatorial polls.

 

In a congratulatory message recently released by the great legend who incidentally is a Senior Special Adviser to the Honorable Minister of Youths and Sports, described the victory as the will of God to reposition Anambra State as a true light of Nigeria.

 

She described Prof Soludo as a great developmental reformist and is truly capable to initiate and execute positive changes in the State and Nigeria in general.

 

She also extolled the good qualities of Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim as a reliable and a dependable partner to Prof. Soludo.

 

 

Further, she admonished the new administration to sincerely exploit great potentials in sports in Anambra State.

 

Positing that the state will benefit tremendously in that vital sector if given the required attention. As there abound massive talents untapped in the State. In her words, sports can lift millions out of poverty in Anambra State.

 

In solidarity to the incoming administration, the great Olympian and legendary sports personality, will be ready to offer her expertise and her very rich sports administrative resources to Ndi Anambra if called upon.

 

She wishes them well and pray God to increase in their wisdom, understanding and knowledge.

 

In addition, she solicits for all round and overwhelming support by Ndi Anambra for the new administration.

 

Chief Mary Onyali, is a native of Mbaukwu in Awka South of Anambra State and therefore a great Anambrarian.

A few years ago, Mary Onyali was appointed a Sports Ambassador of Anambra State by HE Chief Willie Obiano (Akpokudike) the Governor of Anambra State.

 

Having led Africa for decades in athletics, she clinched her First Bronze medal Barcelona in 1992 Olympics and her second Bronze medal in Atlanta 1996 Olympics.

 

All together she holds the record as the 5 time Olympian, a great feat.

1988 to 2004.
