It’s a milestone moment for Springbok fullback Cheslin Kolbe and his family as their son, Cayden, starts his first week of school at just one year old.

Layla Kolbe, Cheslin’s wife, shared a heartwarming update with fans on Instagram, giving a glimpse into Cayden’s first school experience.

A Heartfelt Update on Cayden’s First Week

In her post on January 23, Layla shared adorable clips capturing Cayden’s initial school days.

She mentioned how, despite the tears during drop-offs, Cayden settles in quickly and is doing well.

“Drop-offs are still filled with tears but two minutes then he’s ok.

He’s only still 1 years old,” Layla wrote.

Fans had been eagerly asking for updates on the little one’s school adventures, and she happily obliged by sharing moments from his first week.

Layla also revealed a special gift that Cayden received just in time for his school debut.

“He got a new bag for Christmas on Sunday!” she added, showcasing the new addition to his school gear.

Family Time in Japan and School Prep Chaos

While Cheslin plays for Tokyo Sungoliath in Japan’s Rugby League One, Layla and their kids live in Cape Town, South Africa.

Despite the distance, the Kolbes make time to be together, and they spent their recent festive season in Japan.

However, with school just around the corner, Layla shared her chaotic but humorous experience as they prepared for school after their trip.

“I’ve done this many times to myself, but I have never braced myself for this one- Cayden Kolbe is something else! Dennis the Menace for who!!!” Layla laughed about the jet lag and the rush of getting everyone ready.

She also joked about her procrastination habits, managing to get all three kids prepped just in time for school despite the jet lag.

The Kolbe Family: Juggling Careers and Family Life

Cheslin and Layla’s family life is clearly a busy one, with their three kids—Kylah, 6, Mila Sky, 3, and Cayden, 1—keeping them on their toes.

Despite the challenges of long-distance parenting, they manage to make it work, finding joy in the little moments like Cayden’s school debut.

In her post, Layla’s loving words and sense of humor reflect the chaos of family life, but it’s clear that she cherishes every moment with her kids.

It’s a busy time for the Kolbes, but it’s also a time filled with love, laughter, and new experiences.
