Chelsea Football Club is reportedly looking to make room in their squad for a potential defensive signing, Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi.
The club is assessing options for freeing up space, and one player linked with a move away is defender Renato Veiga.
Interest from Premier League Clubs
Renato Veiga, who joined Chelsea in the summer from Basel for £12 million, is now attracting interest from Premier League clubs such as Wolves and Bournemouth.
Although the player can operate as both a fullback and a centre-back, he has yet to become a regular fixture in Chelsea’s first-team lineup.
Potential Move to Bournemouth or Wolves
Bournemouth would need to make the deal permanent if they are to sign Veiga, as they already have Chelsea’s goalkeeper, Kepa Arrizabalaga, on loan.
Meanwhile, Wolves are looking to bolster their defense and, despite finalizing the signing of Emmanuel Agbadou from Reims, are interested in adding a second centre-back.
The Portuguese international is seen as a good fit for their squad.
Other Clubs Eyeing Veiga
While Premier League clubs are leading the charge, Veiga’s potential departure is not just attracting domestic interest.
Bundesliga side Stuttgart and Serie A’s Juventus are also monitoring the situation, keeping tabs on the 21-year-old defender’s future.
More Chelsea Players Drawing Attention
Chelsea is also fielding enquiries for other players in their squad.
Midfielder Cesare Casadei is drawing interest from clubs in both Holland and Germany, with Torino having made an initial bid that fell short. As Chelsea prepares for further transfer movements, it seems that several players could be on the move.
