CCTV of Salisbury youngsters shows wheelchair-bound guy with ‘life-changing’ injuries

A wheelchair-bound man was assaulted by a gang of adolescents, leaving him with ‘life-changing’ injuries, according to police.

The vulnerable guy in his 30s was assaulted with a companion in his 40s in Salisbury, Wiltshire’s Cathedral Green neighborhood.

The group ambushed and pursued the duo through the High Street and into Crane Street approximately 9:15 p.m. on July 19.

According to authorities, the wheelchair-bound man sustained ‘possibly life-changing’ injuries as a consequence of the incident, which left him ‘extremely upset.’

Due to the location of the event, detectives anticipate witnesses from the general public to come forward.

CCTV footage shows a group of four youngsters in their mid-teens, three guys and one woman.

One young man appears topless in the photographs, while the other two are dressed in a blue t-shirt and a grey sweatshirt with white lettering.

All four are dressed in shorts, with the female wearing a white sleeveless top.

Police are now requesting witnesses to help them with their investigations, especially in identifying those involved in the assault.

‘This was a lengthy assault, during which a vulnerable guy received terrible injuries that have left him terribly upset,’ said Det Con Susan Ellway.

‘The event occurred in a public area, and many members of the public are thought to have seen it.’

‘We have already collected a number of witness reports and would want to continue to encourage anybody with information to contact us.’

‘This kind of behavior is utterly reprehensible and will not be accepted in our community.’

‘I realize folks in Salisbury would be dissatisfied and angered as a result of this tragedy.

‘We want to reassure citizens that we are doing a thorough investigation to identify those responsible.’
