The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant-General Faruk Yahaya, has reiterated his resolve and commitment to addressing infrastructural development, as well as ensuring the welfare of Nigerian Army personnel.
The Chief of Army Staff who stated this during the inaugural ceremony of remodeled Army Headquarters Annex A Complex, situated in Asokoro, Abuja emphasized, that the successful completion of the project was propelled by deliberate efforts towards the realization of conducive working conditions for personnel, in order to enhance administrative and operational efficiency.
He said that the complex, which will accommodate three departments and an independent directorate, will decongest the main Army Headquarters complex and provide a working environment favourable to officers and soldiers.
The Chief of Army Staff disclosed that departments to be accommodated in the edifice include the Departments of Army Transformation and Innovation, Civil Military Affairs, Special Services and Programmes, as well as Nigerian Army Finance Corporation.
He stated that the Nigeria Army under his watch will continue to seek means of improving the welfare of its personnel and expressed gratitude to President Muhammadu Buhari for his support to the Nigerian Army in actualizing infrastructural development.
