Caroline Kennedy, daughter of President John F. Kennedy, has released a deeply personal and controversial video addressing her cousin, RFK Jr.
In the video, Kennedy unleashes scathing remarks, calling him a “predator” and claiming he played a role in leading family members down the dangerous path of drug addiction.
Her pointed accusations also include mistreatment of small animals, calling his behavior “perverse” and disturbing.
A Long-Held Silence Finally Broken
Kennedy, who is currently the U.S. ambassador to Australia, had kept her opinions about RFK Jr. largely to herself, particularly during his failed presidential campaign.
However, with her cousin now facing a crucial Senate confirmation hearing, Kennedy felt compelled to speak out. RFK Jr. has been nominated by Donald Trump to head the Department of Health and Human Services, and his future in the Senate remains uncertain amid growing controversy.
Kennedy described the complicated family dynamics, stating, “I have known Bobby my whole life; we grew up together.”
She continued, “It’s no surprise that he keeps birds of prey as pets because he himself is a predator.”
Troubling Behavior in RFK Jr.’s Past
Kennedy did not hold back as she recounted what she described as RFK Jr.’s negative influence on younger family members.
She detailed how his basement, garage, and dorm room became hubs for drug use, with RFK Jr. enjoying showing off shocking and cruel acts, such as putting baby chickens and mice in a blender to feed his hawks.
She painted a grim picture of a family atmosphere marred by despair and violence.
The accusations about RFK Jr.’s cruelty toward animals are just a fraction of the harsh criticism Kennedy directed toward him.
The video followed an earlier Washington Post report revealing a letter she sent to senators ahead of his confirmation hearing.
The Vaccine Controversy and RFK Jr.’s Destructive Influence
In her video, Kennedy also took aim at her cousin’s controversial stance on vaccines, accusing him of spreading misinformation.
She described RFK Jr. as “addicted to attention and power,” claiming that he preys on the desperation of parents with sick children by misleading them about vaccines.
She harshly criticized his promotion of “conspiratorial half-truths” and argued that RFK Jr. hypocritically vaccinated his own children while encouraging others not to do the same.
Kennedy strongly condemned his stance on the HPV vaccine, which she said has “been safely administered to millions of boys and girls” and can prevent cervical cancer.
She accused RFK Jr. of enriching himself by denying others access to such vaccines.
A Deepening Political Struggle
Kennedy’s video comes amid growing opposition to RFK Jr.’s confirmation, further complicating his chances.
The Washington Post’s report on her comments adds fuel to the fire, especially after a blistering editorial in the New York Post called for his rejection.
Even a group founded by former Vice President Mike Pence has launched ads against RFK Jr., focusing on his support for abortion rights and adding to the pressure surrounding his Senate confirmation process.
As the political battle intensifies, Kennedy’s video and letter serve as a powerful reminder of the fractured relationships and turbulent history within the Kennedy family, casting a shadow over RFK Jr.’s future in public office.
