The African Union (AU), committed to driving Africa’s integration and sustainable development, announces its Internship Program for 2024.
Situated at its headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, the program aims to enhance organizational capacity and foster young talent from Member States.
Focus Area of the African Union (AU) Summer Internship 2024
Interns will work across various departments and directorates, providing administrative and technical support for the effective implementation of AU programs.
From political affairs to health and infrastructure, interns will engage in diverse sectors vital for Africa’s progress.
Eligibility Requirements for the African Union (AU) Summer Internship 2024
Prospective interns must be nationals of AU Member States, enrolled in the final year of a Bachelor’s or graduate program, or possess relevant academic qualifications.
Fluency in at least one AU working language and a maximum age of 32 are among the eligibility criteria.
Terms and Conditions for the African Union (AU) Summer Internship 2024
While interns will not receive financial compensation, the AU will assist with visa arrangements.
The internship, lasting three months and renewable once, requires individual insurance coverage for medical expenses. Travel expenses and accommodation are the responsibility of the interns.
Applications Process
Applications for the AU Internship Program are submitted online, requiring relevant supporting documents such as a motivation letter, academic certificates, and a recommendation letter. Successful applicants will receive confirmation via email.
