Former Governor of Ekiti, Engr. Segun Oni, who finished second in the opposition People’s Democratic Party’s governorship primaries, has resigned from the party ahead of the June 18 governorship election in Ekiti State.
On Saturday, Segun Oni Movement’s Director of Media and Publicity, Adebayo Jackson, verified this to The Nation in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti state.
Oni, on the other hand, hasn’t revealed which group he’ll be camping with.
However, rumors abound that the ex-governor may join the All Progressives Grand Alliance (AGPA) to run for governor.
