DJ Zinhle’s former employee Phumzile Diko was set to appear at the Protea Magistrates’ Court today (4 May). This comes after Diko allegedly stole half a million rand from the DJ’s business account.

According to City Press – National Prosecuting Authority spokesperson Phindi Mjonondwane said Diko worked with DJ Zinhle in the accounts department of her company.

“The lady was one of her employees working at accounts. She allegedly defrauded DJ Zinhle and transferred R500 000 from the company,” she said according to the publication.

The details surrounding the case will be revealed in court where Diko will appear for a formal bail application.

The Umlilo hitmaker hinted at theft in her business over an episode of her reality series DJ Zinhle: Unexpected.

Twitter users think the media personality is too trusting.

“I think she alluded to something like that in her reality show,” tweeted @Chi_Chiboya.

“Looks like Zinhle is too trusting for her own good,” tweeted @Ntje11.

“Zinhle needs to stop trusting people too much. If some random employee has access to R500k imagine how much Murdah Bongs is stealing and has access to, this explains why Murda Bongs even want out of Black Motion,” tweeted @NdlovuIssac.

“On her reality show, she mentioned something that one of her employees was stealing from her. But never mentioned names,” tweeted @nomthandazoWN.
