The Anglican Bishop of Aguata Diocese Right Reverend Samuel Ezeofor says without holiness, no mortal shall see God.
In a sermon at Saint Paul’s Church Umuchukwu in Orumba South Local Government Area during a service of confirmation and admission into Girls and Women’s guild for all the parishes under Ogbunka Archdeaconry, Bishop Ezeofor charged Christians to always follow the direction of Jesus Christ in order to have eternal life.
He stressed the need for Christians to be committed in following Jesus Christ despite the conditions they find themselves.
Bishop Ezeofor who is also the National Chairman of the Evangelical Followship in the Anglican Communion EFAC Nigeria maintained that being a true disciple of Jesus Christ means following His pattern of life, reminding the faithful to always obey the word of God.
He disclosed that honesty, humanitarian service, truthfulness are the attributes of a good Christian.
Bishop Ezeofor who maintained that Jesus Christ is Gods gracious gift to man unto salvation cautioned against giving excuses in the work of God.
In their various remarks the Supervising priest of Ogbunka Archdeaconry Reverend canon Clement Nwachukwu and Priest at Saint Paul’s Church Umuchukwu Reverend Paul Nnabuife while thanking Bishop Ezeofor for the visit also charged Christians to always maintain their dignity as the salt and light of the earth.
One of those that received the sacrament of confirmation Master Eze Goodluck and Miss Chinaza Ezechi that was admitted into girl’s guild, as well as Mrs Faith Amah who was admitted into the Women’s Guild during the service promised to use their new positions in winning souls for Christ.
