This week’s Big Brother house has been through a rollercoaster of emotions, with tensions running high following George Gilbert’s dramatic removal.
Cameron Barnes, the third housemate to be evicted this season, has opened up about the chaos behind the scenes that viewers didn’t get to see.
Cameron, 25, revealed that the housemates were left stunned after George was axed for repeatedly using offensive language, including comments that were deemed antisemitic.
“It was pretty crazy,” Cameron said, reflecting on the moment.
“I wasn’t really present when it happened, so it was a shock to all of us.”
The Quiet Alarm That Signaled Trouble
Unlike the usual wake-up alarms and flashing lights, George’s ejection was quietly announced through Big Brother’s iconic voice calling him to the diary room.
At first, many thought it was just another task. “We all thought maybe it was a challenge or something,” Cameron explained.
“Then we were told George had been removed—and everyone was just in shock.”
The unexpected removal left the housemates confused, particularly as they tried to understand how it would impact the week’s eviction.
Caroline’s Controversial Remarks Stir Drama
It hasn’t just been George causing a stir. Caroline received a formal warning for transphobic remarks directed at fellow housemate Zelah.
Despite the backlash, Cameron defended Caroline, saying she still has a “heart of gold.”
“She just slipped up,” he said. “Everyone’s human.
It was a rash moment, and obviously not the right thing to say, but I hope it doesn’t define her whole journey on the show.”
Close Bonds Behind the Camera
Cameron also reflected on his friendship with housemate Nancy, hinting at a reunion once the show ends.
“We had a lot of heart-to-heart chats that never made it to air,” he revealed.
Nancy’s emotional reaction on eviction day was captured on camera, showing just how close they had become.
Cameron joked that Nancy could turn into the house’s “new troublemaker,” hinting at future drama. “We’ll probably see each other outside, especially at the wrap party,” he said.
George Gilbert Speaks Out
George, a former parish councillor, later posted a YouTube video explaining his removal.
He admitted to receiving multiple warnings for his comments, some of which were interpreted as justifying the Holocaust.
Other remarks, including a statement about not conceiving a child with a Black woman, were cited as additional breaches.
“Following repeated use of unacceptable language and behaviour, George has been removed from the Big Brother House with immediate effect,” a Big Brother spokesperson confirmed.
A New Eviction Twist Shakes the House
Adding another layer of surprise, Big Brother introduced a twist for this week’s eviction.
Housemates will nominate as usual, but the public vote’s “evictee” won’t actually leave the house.
Instead, they will move into a secret room and be joined by two former housemates who were voted out too soon.
The identities of the returning players are still under wraps.
