The Grammys Stunt That Took Everyone by Surprise
When Bianca Censori, Kanye West’s wife, made her jaw-dropping entrance at the 2025 Grammys, it instantly turned heads.
The 30-year-old Australian architect walked the red carpet in an incredibly revealing nude mesh dress, leaving little to the imagination as it was completely see-through and worn without any underwear.
The bold move shocked both guests and viewers at home, raising questions about the appropriateness of her outfit for such a prestigious event.
The Dress Code Dilemma
Raj Kapoor, an executive producer for the Grammys, recently addressed the controversy surrounding Censori’s outfit.
According to Kapoor, guests attending the event are required to follow an “artistic black-tie” dress code, but how that’s interpreted is largely left up to the individual.
“Of course, there’s a stricter dress code for performers, as we have standards and practices in place for them,” Kapoor explained.
“But when it comes to attendees and nominees, it’s really up to the [Recording] Academy to answer any questions about what’s acceptable.”
While Censori’s outfit may have been unconventional, it seems to have potentially crossed the line based on guidelines set by CBS’s Program Practices, which discourage certain revealing clothing, particularly anything that exposes buttocks or breasts.
These rules seem to include a ban on sheer materials that might reveal sensitive body parts.
Kanye’s Influence and Bianca’s Choice
Reports suggest that Bianca was not initially eager to wear the outfit.
According to an insider, Kanye played a big part in convincing his wife to go with the daring look.
The source told the New York Post that Bianca would have preferred a more traditional dress and would have enjoyed the evening more if she had worn something different.
Despite this, Kanye is reportedly profiting from the bold fashion choice.
He launched his first women’s collection under the Yeezy brand, with Bianca’s sheer bodysuit as the centerpiece.
The item was shared on Instagram with a caption promoting the new collection, priced at just $20.
The thong-style bodysuit, made of sheer black material, is part of a line that includes sweats and sneakers on Kanye’s website.
Kanye’s Perspective on the Backlash
Despite the uproar, Kanye is unapologetic about the stunt, calling it “art” rather than a publicity move.
A source close to him shared that Kanye was uninterested in the Grammys beyond the red carpet.
“He always planned to do the red carpet and leave,” the source said.
“He finds the ceremony dull and boring.”
In fact, Kanye was seen directing Bianca during their brief red carpet appearance.
According to lip reader Nicola Hickling, Kanye told Bianca, “You’re making a scene now,” to which she nodded in agreement.
He added, “Make a scene, I’ll say it’ll make so much sense.
Drop it behind you and then turn, I got you.
” Bianca responded, “Alright, let’s go,” and they quickly left the event after making their splash.
The whole incident only added to Kanye’s reputation for being a rule-breaker and an artist who’s always ready to push boundaries.
