A shocking incident unfolded at Smyrna Dunes Beach Park in Florida when 26-year-old Sarah Ramsammy allegedly drove her SUV recklessly along the crowded beach before crashing it into the ocean.

Witnesses claim she was driving at a high speed of around 50 miles per hour, narrowly avoiding numerous beachgoers, including families with children.

Fortunately, no one was injured in the chaotic ordeal.

As police arrived at the scene, Ramsammy admitted to being the driver but showed no signs of remorse.

In a video captured by officers, Ramsammy can be seen standing in wet clothes, calmly explaining that they were simply trying to turn the car around.

She mentioned not being able to make a U-turn and claimed they were unaware of the potential danger they posed.

However, when informed that she had nearly hit a child, Ramsammy seemed to deny the accusation, stating that she didn’t think they had come close to hitting anyone.

Subsequent investigation revealed that Ramsammy’s Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) was 0.153, twice the legal limit for driving.

The officer at the scene reminded her that driving on that part of the beach was prohibited.

Ramsammy’s passenger, who appeared visibly upset, apologized to the officer for the incident.

As the officer requested Ramsammy’s license, she informed him that it was inside the car along with her phone.

Realizing the seriousness of the situation, the officer advised her to retrieve her phone as her car would be impounded.

Emotions ran high as Ramsammy’s friend, who was present on the beach, began to weep and asked the officer for guidance.

The officer informed her that Ramsammy would be taken to jail for driving under the influence, giving her friend the option to accompany her or arrange for her release on bail.

Ramsammy was later charged with DUI, reckless driving, and failure to obey a traffic control device.
