CAF has unveiled the schedule for Bafana Bafana’s journey through the 2025 AFCON qualifiers, as the 1996 African champions aim to reclaim their former glory and secure another shot at the coveted trophy.

Bafana finds themselves in Group K alongside Uganda, Congo, and South Sudan.

While the group poses challenges on paper, Bafana seems to hold a stronger position compared to their opponents.

Recently securing a bronze medal in the Africa Cup of Nations held in Côte d’Ivoire, Hugo Broos’ squad demonstrated their mettle, clinching third place with a thrilling 6-5 victory over DR Congo in the tournament’s third-place playoff.

Early Challenges in September

The qualifiers kick off in September, with matchdays one and two scheduled from 2nd to 10th. Bafana will start by hosting Uganda’s Cranes before traveling for an away match against South Sudan.

October Battles

October will see matchdays three and four unfold from the 7th to the 15th.

First, Broos’ team will take on Congo at home, followed by a challenging away fixture in Brazzaville.

Final Stretch in November

November marks the conclusion of the qualifiers with matchdays five and six slated from 11th to 19th.

Bafana will face Uganda again, this time away, before finishing strong with a home game against South Sudan.
