“They deserved the embarrassment” – Ex South Africa football player, says after loss to France

Katlego Mphela, a former Bafana Bafana striker, does not appear to be a fan of the national team. ‘Killer,’ as he is called, has added salt to the 5-0 wound from Tuesday night.

Mphela previously stated that securing a friendly match with France was a terrible waste of money.

The national team was expected to struggle against the star-studded world champions, as The South African wrote on Tuesday night, but a 5-0 loss was not in the cards.

Mzansi deserved to lose 5-0, according to former Bafana Bafana striker Mphela, who struck a famous free-kick against Spain in the 2009 Confederations Cup.

“They deserved the result,” Mphela said via KickOff.

“They had a few good touches at the beginning of the match, but then kept losing the ball as the game progressed.

“There were no shots at goal.

“It was embarrassing when our league is considered one of the biggest in Africa. Their approach to the game was not good.

“They were lucky not to concede more than five goals against a quality side like France. They were handed a lesson, and hopefully, they will learn from this and improve,” the former Kaizer Chiefs man concluded.

Ronwen Wiliams, the star goalkeeper for Bafana Bafana, has announced that he would receive Kylian Mbappe’s jersey on Tuesday night.

Mbappe was the star of the show as Les Bleus thrashed an inexperienced Bafana Bafana team 5-0 on Tuesday night, as we reported here at The South African.

“I was lucky to get the superstar’s jersey, I got Mbappe’s jersey.
