The first episode of Britain’s Got Talent (BGT) for 2025 already has viewers buzzing, with many fans convinced they’ve seen the winner after just one performance.
On Saturday night, Auzzy Blood, a three-time Guinness World Record holder, took to the stage and shocked everyone with a daring sword-swallowing act.
The performance was so jaw-dropping that it left the judges, including Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, and Bruno Tonioli, visibly stunned.
A Daring and Disturbing Act
Auzzy’s performance had the audience and judges in a state of shock as he executed some truly extreme stunts.
He swallowed a corkscrew and a meat hook through his head and nose before pulling them out of his mouth.
The act was so intense that a warning was issued to viewers not to attempt it at home, with Dec reinforcing the point during the segment.
Dressed in gothic attire and sporting skeleton face paint, Auzzy twisted the corkscrew and hooks in his body before inserting a tube into his nose and out of his mouth, even asking Simon to drink from it.
The grand finale involved Auzzy pulling himself into the air from a rope, with the hook still hanging from his face.
Throughout the horrifying segment, the audience screamed in terror, and all four judges turned their chairs away in fear.
Simon Cowell commented, saying, “It’s spooky horror where you don’t want to watch it, but you do want to watch it.”
He added jokingly, “That’s obviously why we’re going to show it. We probably will get some complaints. Hopefully!”
Fans Go Wild on Social Media
The performance had fans flooding social media with their reactions.
Many viewers were amazed by Auzzy’s skill but admitted the act was hard to watch.
One fan tweeted, “Wow Auzzy Blood was fantastic, that was disturbing but loved it.” Another shared, “Catching up on #BGT and my god, watching Auzzy Blood was insane.
I have never watched anything on TV, let alone an act on BGT, through my fingers before.
Horrifically brilliant.” Many expressed how terrifying yet brilliant the performance was, with one fan commenting, “I’m actually terrified but amazed at Auzzy Blood right now.”
Auzzy Blood’s Bold Stunts
Auzzy is no stranger to pushing boundaries. He’s performed in six different Got Talent shows worldwide, including a memorable appearance on America’s Got Talent in 2022.
Known for his death-defying acts, he specializes in extreme body manipulation, sword swallowing, and stunts that leave audiences gasping in disbelief.
Auzzy also showcased his skills on the Spanish version of Got Talent in 2023.
Simon Cowell had predicted the reaction to Auzzy’s act, noting that while it might be too intense for some, the shocking nature of the performance is exactly why it would captivate viewers.
He humorously added, “I love it when they say ‘don’t try this at home,’ like we’ve all got screws and things just waiting to do that.”
A Big Start for the New Series
The new series of Britain’s Got Talent kicked off with a bang, drawing in an impressive 5.4 million viewers for the premiere episode.
This marks a shift in the show’s schedule, as last year’s finale saw the lowest ratings in its history.
To boost viewership, ITV has moved the show to Saturday evenings, and the format for the semi-finals has changed as well.
Instead of airing daily, the semi-finals will now be broadcast every Saturday evening.
The show will return next Saturday at 7 PM on ITV and ITVX.
