In Atlanta, Lil Nas X will have his own special day. In commemoration of the rapper, the city has designated October 20 as “Lil Nas X Day.” Nas was presented with a plaque honoring the special award by the Atlanta City Council.

As a result of his “artistic influence and transformative power,” Atlanta thinks Lil Nas X is influencing the city and the world.

The plaque was handed to Lil Nas X at a special dinner at The Gathering Spot Atlanta on Wednesday night, October 20, by city councilman and mayoral candidate Antonio Brown, Atlanta’s first Black LQBTQ+ council member. Lil Nas X is an Atlanta native who grew up in the city.

Kandi Burruss, Todd Tucker and Miss Lawrence were among the celebs on hand to see Lil Nas get the special honor.
