t’s likely Mr Albanese will make Kirribilli House his first home, with the new PM hailing from Sydney’s inner west, less than half an hour from the residence.

In an interview with 2GB radio host Ben Fordham on Thursday morning, Mr Morrison said he was looking forward to ‘being a dad’ again, telling the broadcaster he was already back on school drop-off duty.

‘I’ve just dropped the girls off to school this morning and I’m looking forward to being a dad again, it’s been a while since I’ve been able to spend as much time as I would like with the family,’ he said.

Mr Morrison also said he was keen to return to life as a ‘quiet Australian in the Shire’.
