Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union honours Saqr Ghobash

CAIRO, 19th February, 2022 – Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal, President of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union (AIPU) and Speaker of the Representatives Council of Bahrain, has granted Saqr Ghobash, Speaker of the Federal National Council (FNC), the union medal and shield in honour of his presidency of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union’s previous session.

The honouring was in appreciation of Ghobash’s role and efforts, which resulted in remarkable achievement during his presidency and significantly promoted collective Arab action.

Zainal appreciated the efforts made by Ghobash over the past period, which had tremendous results during his presidency of the AIPU.

The ceremony took place during the 32nd conference of the AIPU being held in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, under the title, “Arab Solidarity”.
