Governor Willie Obiano has urged APGA faithful to embark on house-to-house campaign to ensure victory for the party.
Governor Willie Obiano stated this during the party’s local government campaign tour of Oyi and Dunukofia Council areas.
Government House Correspondent, Ejike Abana reports that activities were witnessed as the Campaign Train of the All-Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, made a stop at Nteje and Ifitedunu, venues of the event.
The campaign team was led by Governor Willie Obiano, accompanied by the APGA Gubernatorial Flag-bearer and wife, Professor Chukwuma and Nonye Soludo, his running mate, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, APGA Campaign Director General, Professor Solo Chukwulobelu, member representing Anambra East and West Federal Constituency, Honourable Chinedu Obidigwe among others.
Governor Obiano said that the party has always been on ground for many years which is why it is easier to mobilize votes for the party, pointing out that support for the APGA candidate is a guarantee for continuity.
The Commissioner for Trade and Commerce, Mr. Uchenna Okafor in his speech assured that they have prepared very well for the election and called on other local government areas to mobilize their youths for the election, just as his counterpart in the Budget, Planning and Development Partners Ministry, Mr. Mark Okoye pleaded for more economic opportunities for women and youth of Dunukofia where he hails from.
The Transition Committee Chairman for Oyi Local Government Area, Mr. Nnamdi Nwadiogbo and the Transition Committee Chairman for Dunukofia Council Area, Mr. Emeka Chinweze declared that Professor Soludo is the best among the candidates contesting the election, assuring that they will mobilize the electorate for his victory.
The APGA Flagbearer, Professor Chukwuma Soludo thanked Ndi Anambra for supporting the party, noting that Governor Obiano has raised the bar of governance in Anambra State, pointing out that he will capitalize on the foundation, to do better.
In attendance were the Commissioner for Children and Women Affairs, Lady Ndidi Mezue, Chief Executive Officer of Anambra Physical Planning Board, Barrister Chike Maduekwe, House member representing Oyi constituency, Honourable Charles Obimma, Director General of APGA Campaign in Dunukofia, Honourable Emeka Okonkwo, among others.
