Ant McPartlin moves his family into a £10million Surrey mansion after leaving London home following planning dispute with neighbours

Ant McPartlin seems to have taken the phrase “new beginnings” literally.

The TV star, famously one half of the iconic duo Ant & Dec, has swapped the hustle and bustle of London life for the leafy tranquility of Surrey, splashing over £10million on a sprawling new-build mansion.

His move comes as he seeks a calmer, more private lifestyle with his young family.

A Mansion Fit for a Millionaire

According to sources, McPartlin’s new home sits on an exclusive street in one of the UK’s most desirable villages.

With over an acre of grounds, this property is reportedly a record-breaking sale for the area.

One local told the Mail on Sunday: “It’s all anyone is talking about.

The estate is prime, and he won’t have to worry about any neighbourly disputes here.”

The purchase comes with a hefty price tag, including more than £1million in stamp duty.

But money is unlikely to be a concern for the 50-year-old presenter, who recently signed a staggering £30million ITV deal alongside his long-time TV partner and friend, Declan Donnelly.

Interestingly, Donnelly has also been busy on the property front, picking up his third London home on the same street.

Settling Down with Family

Ant and his wife Anne-Marie Corbett, 47, welcomed their first child, Wilder, just over 18 months ago.

Locals say the family has been spotted enjoying the village with their little boy.

One resident commented: “He looks really happy and friendly, always greeting people who recognise him.

But I don’t think he’ll be bothered too much here – we’re used to seeing celebrities around.”

This move seems ideal for the couple, offering both privacy and proximity to a community familiar with high-profile residents.

The Wimbledon Chapter Ends

McPartlin sold his luxury Wimbledon home just two months ago following a planning dispute with neighbours.

While he denies the row prompted the move, tensions arose when locals objected to his plans to remove six large, healthy trees in his garden.

The controversy followed a council approval for the project, despite a tree preservation order.

The former London house, a three-storey property purchased in 2019 for £6million, underwent extensive renovations under Ant and Anne-Marie.

They added two extensions, a swimming pool, and Victorian-style changing rooms – reportedly spending hundreds of thousands of pounds.

A Life Turned Around

Ant’s journey hasn’t been without its struggles.

Years ago, a combination of a botched knee operation, painkiller dependency, and alcohol issues nearly derailed his career.

He spent time in rehab in 2017 and again in 2018, following a drink-driving incident.

Around the same time, he also went through a divorce from his first wife, Lisa Armstrong.

Anne-Marie, who was previously his PA, has played a pivotal role in his recovery.

The couple married in 2021, and Ant now happily embraces fatherhood while also being a stepfather to Anne-Marie’s teenage daughters, Daisy and Poppy.

What’s Next for Ant?

With a stunning new home, a growing family, and a lucrative ITV contract secured, Ant McPartlin appears to be entering a new, more serene chapter of life.

The leafy streets of Surrey promise privacy, peace, and perhaps a little gossip – but in the best possible way for one of Britain’s most famous faces.
