Angeli Rose Gomez handcuffs for trying to rescue her kids at the Uvalde school shooting

She claimed she was contacted by an officer who informed her that she would be facing legal action for a charge she faced more than a decade earlier.

She vowed, however, that she would not be intimidated and that she would continue to tell her story after the judge in her previous case declared she would be alright.

Gomez was detained outside Robb Elementary School in Uvalde by bungling cops as she attempted to rush in to save her two children who were hiding outside.

She condemned the police response to the disaster, which resulted in the deaths of 19 pupils and two teachers, and commended parents who attempted to enter the school.

Uvalde School District Police Chief Pete Arredondo is under a barrage of criticism for not dispatching a team quickly enough to put an end to Salvador Ramos’ heinous spree.

Gomez has chastised the police for their tardy response and actions in handcuffing her and restraining other parents who attempted to rush into the school to save the children after becoming angry with their inaction.

‘Nothing was being done,’ Gomez told CBS said of the cops who kept her back, saying it was for her own safety.

‘If anything, they were being more aggressive against us parents who were willing to go in.

‘I told one of the officers, I don’t need you to protect me. Get away from me. I don’t need your protection.’

‘If anything, I need you to go in there with me and protect my kids.’

After learning of the incident, Gomez rushed to the school district in a frantic attempt to save her children.

When she got at the site, she was greeted by a US Marshall who urged her to move her car and keep away from the school.

‘He said, ‘Well, we’re going to have to arrest you because you’re being very uncooperative,” Gomez told CBS. ‘I said, well you’re going to have to arrest me because I’m going in there.’

‘I’m telling you, I don’t see any of y’all in there. Y’all are standing with snipers and far away. If y’all aren’t going in their, I’m going in there.’

Gomez claimed she was able to persuade a Uvalde officer she knew to have the marshal release her, and she took advantage of the chance to get away from the mob, climb the school gate, and run inside the school to save her children.

Other parents attempting to reach their children were assaulted and pepper-sprayed by cops, she claimed.

Despite Arredondo’s opinion that the shooter was already barricaded alone inside a room when police arrived, Gomez said there were still gunshots being fired while she was inside the school looking for her children and directing others to flee the route she entered.

She expressed her gratitude for being able to save her children, but expressed her sadness for the parents who lost their children, such as Angel Garza, a local father who was handcuffed with Gomez.

When the medic got on the scene, he attempted to rescue a young girl who was covered in blood, according to CNN’s Anderson Cooper.

The youngster stated that she was not injured and that the blood came from her best friend, ‘Amerie.’ Angel knew the blood he was looking at was from his own daughter at that point.

The distraught father then attempted to rush into the school to locate his daughter, but was detained and taken away by police.
